The Barley Twist Spindle is one of our more intricately designed spindles. You will love its distinctive style as its peculiar composition differs from all the other spindles we offer! The tightly twisted pattern it follows brings a more modern and contemporary feel as opposed to the simplistic Blank Spindle or the traditional Colonial/Edwardian Spindle. This design is unique as none of our other spindles contain this twisted design, setting it apart from most of our timber spindles on offer!

We offer this spindle in the sizes of 41 x 41 x 900mm, 41 x 41 x 1100mm. You should use the 900mm spindles on closed-string staircases or landing areas.  The 1100mm spindles are for usage on cut-string staircases where there would be one 900mm spindle and one 1100mm spindle per tread. The longer length spindles can also come in handy for commercial landing areas to comply with building regulations.
